Whelming – adjective.

Whelming is one of those words that doesn’t get used nearly as often as it should.  Surprisingly, two of whelming’s derivatives,  overwhelming and underwhelming, are in fairly high circulation.  In contrast to these words, whelming is neither overpowering or underpowered, whelming is… in perfect balance.

Christina María Aguilera has an acute accent.  I am partial to the umlaut myself but tittle refers to all the various dots and dashes (diacritical marks) as well as the actual dot above an i or a j.  Tittle can also be used to describe something very tiny but I don’t think that applies to Miss Aguilera.

Existence is the fact or the state of being.  Do you exist? Do I exist? Does this exist?  What if this is all a happening in your imagination? Is it happening at all?  What if nothing exists and we’re all in somebody’s dream? Or worse, what if only that fat guy exists?

defer – verb : to postpone, to hold off or put off

To defer implies a deliberate putting off to a later time.  You can use defer in a variety of ways.  You can defer to someone else in a meeting and allow them to talk or even to make a decision.  You can defer your military service if you meet certain requirements to do so. Defer can also be a synonym for procrastination. Sometimes you can defer to make a new word of the day at word du jour for several days… as a super cool example of the word of the day.
